The 144 Airlift Squadron (144 AS) is part of the 176 Air Wing at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska. It operates C-130H Hercules in the Alaska Air National Guard and the United States Air Force global reach mission world wide. The Alaska Air National Guard was formed in 1952, well before Alaska became a state in 1959. The 144 AS is the is the oldest squadron in the AK ANG. The squadron name is: “The Wolf Pack”!
