The 65th Airlift Squadron (65 AS) is part of the 15th Wing at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam Hawaii. It operates the C-37 and provides global airlift for the Commander, US Pacific Command (CDRUSINDOPACOM); Commander, Pacific Air Forces (COMPACAF); Commander, United States Forces Korea; & other HQ USAF taskings. Responsible for direct coordination with US embassies & foreign governments worldwide. Uniquely responsible to flag officer direction. Aircrews operate outside normal military command/control channels.

The C-37B is a military version of the Gulfstream 550 and the C-37A is a military version of the Gulfstream V aircraft that provide world-wide airlift for senior leadership and dignitaries. C-37 are low-wing, business jets powered by two turbofan engines equipped with thrust reversers capable of all-weather, long-range, high-speed nonstop flights.
