The 561st Network Operations Squadron (561 NOS) is a part of the 688th Cyber Wing and located at Peterson AFB, Colorado. The 561 NOS operates the Cyberspace Security and Control System to deliver mission assurance across the Air Force. It operates in Colorado Springs which sits within the shadow of the famous Pikes Peak (Purple Mountain Majesty). The Squadron mascot is the Gryphon, whose namesake comes from the Gryphon missile defense system that our heritage communications squadron helped maintain.
