The 660th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (660th AMXS) is located at Travis AFB. Bolstered by an incredible maintenance/ops relationship, the squadron has proven to be the most reliable KC-10 maintenance unit in the Air Force. The Squadron is responsible for combat ready maintenance personnel and organizational support to inspect, service, and repair 27 assigned KC-10 aircraft and transient aircraft across the globe. Generates 24-hour-a-day strategic airlift and aerial refueling to support flying activities of four air refueling squadrons. Maintains mission ready aircraft capable of worldwide strategic airlift and air refueling support to Air Mobility Command’s global mission.
