Det 1 and the 1 ASF Operate FAA owned Challenger 601/604/605 aircraft specially outfitted for the flight inspection of ground based navigational aids (ex: TACAN, VOR, PAPI and ILS,). Famous for the combat baby blue and signature lighting bolt paint scheme, these specific 601s are further outfitted for combat operations in all theaters.
