Strike Fighter Squadron EIGHT THREE (VFA-83), the “RAMPAGERS,” are a US Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter-attack squadron stationed at Naval Air Station Oceana, VA, when home, and embarked aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) as part of Carrier Strike Group TWO (CSG-2) when deployed. They are a part of Carrier Air Wing THREE (CVW-3), known as team “BATTLEAXE.” The radio callsign is “RAM” and the squadron motto is “RAM ON!”
