The 3d Operations Support Squadron (3 OSS) is part of the 3rd Wing at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER), Alaska. They are a very large and diverse Squadron with 225 assigned Airmen divided into 8 flights (Airfield Management, Aircrew Flight Equipment, Intelligence, Readiness and Training, Weather, Weapons and Tactics, Current Operations, and Distributed Mission Operations). The men and women of the 3 OSS have the unique and demanding privilege of enabling arctic operations for sixteen different flying units and JBER, who operate more than 30 different aircraft types. Located at 61N near Anchorage, Alaska, their mascot is the Arctic Grey Wolf and their motto is “Send in the Wolf!” (See more below)
