The 730th Airlift Squadron (730 AS) is part of the 452d Air Mobility Wing at March Air Reserve Base, California. It operates C-17 Globemaster III and KC-135 aircraft providing global airlift. The 730 AS operated the C-141 Starlifter (depicted in this artwork) from 1969–2005.
