The 5th Civil Engineer Squadron (5th CES) is part of the 5th Bomb Wing (and host unit) at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. Also known as the “WarBulls”, the 5th CES provides engineering support, fire and emergency services, emergency management, and explosive ordnance disposal for two distinct missions at Minot; the B-52 Stratofortress and the 91st Missile Wing’s Minuteman III ICBMs. Additionally, the 5th CES is always ready to deploy worldwide as part of their Prime BEEF (Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force) mission. There are few landmarks in North Dakota, however the base is close to the City of Minot, also known as the “Magic City”. The winters can be long and harsh in North Dakota, however the summers are absolutely beautiful. The 5th Bomb Wing’s motto is: “Only the Best Come North” and the 5th Civil Engineer Squadron cheer is: “Engineers…Lead the Way!”
