The 36th Operations Support Squadron (36 OSS) is part of the 36th Operations Group, 36thWing, Andersen AFB, GU. The unit is responsible for operating the largest military aerodrome in the Pacific theater. Additionally, it provides Combat Planning, Contingency and Exercise support, Command and Control capabilities, Aircrew Flight Equipment, Aviation Resource Management, and Operational Network support for more than 19K joint and coalition personnel. The 36 OSS maintains weather forecasting and observation equipment and provisions more than 15K weather products to aircrew each year. Finally, the unit is the primary hub for Intelligence and Security Operations on Guam and within the Second Island Chain. It maintains multiple secure facilities and coordinates intelligence support between both Joint Service and Title 50 agencies. The squadron mascot is “Spartans” and the motto/cheer is “LEGENDARY!”
