The 140th Medical Group (140 MDG) is part of the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard, Buckley SFB, CO. The medical group is comprised of two units: 140th Medical Support Squadron (MDSS) and Detachment 1 (DET-1). These units exist to meet the medical readiness needs and support the operational missions of the Colorado National Guard (CONG). Medical readiness includes Flight Medicine, Immunizations, Public Health, Optometry, Bioenvironmental and Dental and focuses on making sure our warfighters are healthy enough to deploy. DET-1 is the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and high yield Explosive, or CBRNE, Enhanced Force Package (CERFP) which provides immediate response capability for domestic operation missions.
