The 538th Air Expeditionary Advisory Squadron is part of the 438 Air Expeditionary Wing of Train, Advise, Assist Command-Air in Kabul, Afghanistan. Their primary mission is to train, advise and assist our Afghan partners to achieve a professional, capable and sustainable Air Force. The 538 AEAS operates C-208 and C-130H aircraft alongside the Afghan Air Force’s 373rd Fixed Wing Squadron. The “Spartans” of the 538 AEAS work in harm’s way daily on the Afghan Air Force base and travel to locations where circumstances are sometimes dangerous and risky.
