Based out of Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado, CA, Helicopter Sea Combat Weapons School Pacific (HSCWSP) is the West Coast HSC Center of Excellence charged with tactical standardization, evaluation, and warfare innovation for the Pacific Fleet HSC Wing. Instructor aircrew at the command are graduates of SEAWOLF , the U. S. Navy’s Rotary Wing Weapons School Weapons and Tactics Instructor course administered by the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center in Fallon, NV. Known as “The Phoenix,” HSCWSP cadre aid Fleet warfighters in honing their skills for the core HSC missions: Rescue isolated personnel, Protect Strike Groups, and Deliver critical supplies and personnel wherever they are needed.
