The men and women of the 727th Expeditionary Air Control Squadron are a unique bunch of joint and coalition partners, who work tirelessly 24/7/365 to provide world-class command and control and battle management to the CENTCOMAOR. Controlling 1.1 million square miles of airspace, the members of “Kingpin” are the tactical experts Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and fellow Airmen rely on to provide over watch and help keep them safe while accomplishing the mission.

The 727th Expeditionary Air Control Squadron (EACS), also known as “Kingpin”, provides tactical air command and control (C2) capabilities of joint air operations in the U.S. Air Forces Central Command area of responsibility. Headquartered at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, the 727 EACS is only 40 minutes away from Abu Dhabi and an hour and a half away from Dubai. This unit stood up as the premier C2 agency in CENTCOM, after the de-activation of “Pyramid” at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Currently, the unit participates in major theater operations including Operation Inherent Resolve, Resolute Support Mission, and Combined Defense of the Arabian Peninsula. The unit consists of over 300 joint and coalition members and has detachments spread out across the entire CENTCOM AOR.
