The 8th Operations Group is part of the 8th Fighter Wing at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. The 8th Operations Group is responsible for the conduct of conventional air-to-ground and air-to-air missions in support of armistice and war time tasks to defend the Republic of Korea. To this end, the 8th Operations Group ensures the combat-readiness of two F-16C squadrons capable of day, night, and all-weather air combat in the Korean Theater of Operations and an Operations Support Squadron that oversees the 8th Fighter Wing’s training, flight ops, intelligence, command and control, aircrew life support, weather, and air traffic control/airfield management. The 8th Operations Group ensures the Wolf Pack is always ready to “Take the Fight North”.
