The 867th Attack Squadron (867 ATKS) is part of the 432d Wing at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada. It operates MQ-9A “Reaper” remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) in support of persistent attack and reconnaissance missions world wide. Creech AFB is located outside of Las Vegas, Nevada and serves as the epicenter for Air Force RPA operations. The squadron is known as the Spartans and their motto, “Fear the Thunder”, refers to the thundering sonic boom their Hellfire missiles make just before striking the target.
