Pilot Training Next (PTN) is a paradigm shift in education, training and the capitalization of experiences. PTN is the embodiment of student-centric learning. This “first” class of 13 pilot has led the way in re-imagining how Airmen learn to fly. The PTN graduates completed the six month program that integrates various technologies with the idea of producing pilots in an accelerated, cost-efficient, learning-focused manner. The 13 Officers received their silver wings at the graduation ceremony on August 3rd, 2018 held at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, Austin, Texas.

Upon graduation, they have headed out to complete advanced flight training across multiple airframes including KC10 Extender, F-16 Fighting Falcon, C17 Globemaster III, F-35 Lightning II, U28, C-146 Wolfhound, and MC-130J Commando II. Congratulations to PTN Class 2018-01 for leading the way!
The Beechcraft T-6 Texan II is a single-engine turboprop aircraft built by the Raytheon Aircraft Company (which became Hawker Beechcraft and later Beechcraft Defense Company, and was bought by Textron Aviation in 2014). A trainer aircraft based on the Pilatus PC-9, the T-6 has replaced the United States Air Force’s Cessna T-37B Tweet and the United States Navy’s T-34C Turbo Mentor.
