The 99th Logistics Readiness Squadron is the largest squadron of its kind in Air Combat Command. Over 550 Airmen and Civilian Logisticians working every day to keep the 127 aircraft at Nellis AFB and 50 Remotely Piloted Aircraft at Creech flying. Not only do they attend to those missions, but directly support over 25 Large force Exercise, which bring on average an additional 120 aircraft and thousands of Airmen to Nellis. They Supply Airmen in Material Management, Deployment and Distribution, POL troops in Fuels Flight, Mechanics in Vehicle Management, and two support centers for Creech AFB and Large Force Exercises combine to provide world class logistics to Nellis, Creech and the Nevada Test and Training Range. – Logistics… “That’s What We Do”!
Nellis Air Force Base is a United States Air Force installation in southern Nevada with military schools and more squadrons than any other USAF base. Nellis hosts air combat exercises such as Exercise Red Flag and close air support exercises such as Green Flag-West flown in “Military Operations Area (MOA) airspace” and is associated with the nearby Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). The base also has the Combined Air and Space Operations Center-Nellis.
