MCAS New River Learn to Tilt CV-22 poster art
Marine Medium Tiltrotor Training Squadron 204 (VMMT 204) is the training squadron for V-22 pilots (USMC, USAF, USN, and Japanese pilots). The squadron trains upwards of 120 pilots every year, and every single Osprey pilot has trained at MCAS New River. The V-22 Osprey is an American multi-mission, tiltrotor military aircraft with both vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft. Marine Corps Air Station New River is a United States Marine Corps helicopter and tilt-rotor base in Jacksonville, North Carolina. – “Learn to TILT”!
