Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 502 (VMFAT-502) is a United States Marine Corps fighter attack training squadron flying the F-35 Lightning II. The VMFAT-502 “Flying Nightmares” are stationed at MCAS Beaufort, SC. They fly the F-35B variant and support pilot and maintainer training. Their moto is: “Carpe Noctem” meaning “Seize the night”!
