The 61st Airlift Squadron (61st AS) is part of the 19th Air Mobility wing at Little Rock AFB Arkansas. The 61st AS is the home of the C-130 and operates all over the world. The squadron’s motto is: OTOT “On Target On Time” because that is what they do, and their bread and butter is Combat Airlift. The 61st delivers cargo to the user whether it be via air drop or air-land. Their mascot is the “Green Hornet” and their colors are lime green and yellow. They have been operating since 1942 and have delivered life saving cargo and dropped personnel in every major conflict since WWII. The base sits 20 min outside of Little Rock city, just off the Arkansas River. (see more below)
