The mission of the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Air Force Honor Guard is to represent the Air Force during military funeral honors and ceremonial functions. The primary mission of The Honor Guard is performing funeral honors for past and present members of the United States Air Force and veterans of the Army Air Forces and Army Air Corps. The Honor Guard’s area of responsibility includes portions of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts covering approximately 68,000 square miles. The Honor Guard also provides ceremonial support for Air Force and JB MDL military ceremonies and certain civic events.
