The 923d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (923 AMXS) is part of the 23 Wing (Famous Flying Tigers). Based out of Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ it maintains, services and inspects HH-60G Pave Hawk and HC-130J Combat King II aircraft. It also plans, schedules and directs both scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance for keeping its aircraft at mission-ready status. The squadron performs all launch and recovery operations. It rapidly generates, mobilizes, deploys and employs forces to provide combat and peacetime search and rescue operations. Supporting the motto: “These Things We Do That Others May Live.”
