It conducts initial mission qualification and upgrade training for the AC-130W, MQ-9, C-146A; it also maintains and manages aircrew training devices for CV-22 and MC-130J aircrews. The mission of the 551st: Turning Airmen into Air Commandos through unmatched training… instilling a never quit attitude to execute global Special operations forces (SOF) missions.
