Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 (VMFAT 501) “Warlords” is the USMC F-35B Fleet Replacement Squadron. The squadron is based at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina. The F-35B variant is capable of Short Takeoffs and Vertical Landings utilizing its lift fan. Beaufort is the second-oldest city in South Carolina, behind Charleston. Its located 45 minutes North of Savannah GA and 1.5 hours South of Charleston. (See more below)
