The 314th Maintenance Group (314 MXG) is part of the 314th Airlift Wing at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. It provides expertly maintained, mission ready C130J aircraft to support the training of the world’s best C – 130 combat airlifters. The 314th Airlift Wing, Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., is the nation’s tactical airlift “Center of Excellence” and trains C-130 aircrew members from the Department of Defense, Coast Guard and 47 allied nations. The 314th Airlift Wing is aligned under Air Education and Training Command, reporting to 19th Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. In 2019, the wing flew 6800 aircraft hours and 35,000 simulator hours annually. It utilizes two local drop zones and assault landing zones, and more than 10 regional airfields. Last year, the wing trained 1378 students, including more than 150 international students, making it DoD’s largest international flight training program.
The Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft. The C-130J is a comprehensive update of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules, with new engines, flight deck, and other systems. The C-130J is the newest version of the C-130 Hercules, and the only model currently in production. As of March 2022, 500 C-130J aircraft have been delivered to 26 operators in 22 countries.
