McEntire JANG South Carolina 157th FS
The 157th Fighter Squadron (157FS) is part of the 169th Fighter Wing. The 169th Fighter Wing is the primary unit of the South Carolina Air National Guard and is located at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, South Carolina. The 157th FS is one of the few Air National Guard squadrons to operate the HARM Targeting System (HTS)-equipped F-16C Block 52 Fighting Falcon, also known as the F-16CJ. (see more below)

Location: New Orleans, LAMichael spent his childhood reading such literary classics as “Sgt. Rock” and “Enemy Ace”, spending hours copying the illustrations. He later received a B.A. in Art and still uses his comic book influence along with his love of history and aviation in his work.

The 157th Fighter Squadron operates the F-16 CJ BLK.52 in support of Air Combat Command, providing world class combat capability to meet our nation’s needs for contingency and general war requirements. The primary mission of the 157 FS is Destruction/Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD), better know as the Wild Weasel mission. The 157 FS was one of the first units to deploy and fight in Desert Storm, executing the SEAD mission. We are located in Columbia, South Carolina. The squadron is know as the ‘Swamp Fox’ and has the motto “SEMPER PRIMUS”!
