					<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Cannon AFB New Mexico 310th SOS Art.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The <strong>310th Special Operations Squadron</strong> is an active <strong>United States Air Force</strong> unit, based at <strong>Cannon Air Force Base</strong>, New Mexico. It was most recently activated in 2021 as part of the 27th Special Operations Group, flying the U-28A for Air Force Special Operations Command. </span><span style="color: #000000;">The squadron was first activated during World War II as the 310th Troop Carrier Squadron. After training in the United States, the squadron deployed to the European Theater of Operations. It participated in combat and airlift operations until V-E Day, earning a Distinguished Unit Citation for its actions on D-Day. Following the end of hostilities, it participated in the airlift of American troops back to the United States until inactivating in Trinidad in the summer of 1945.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">The <strong>70th Air Refueling Squadron (70th ARS)</strong> is an <strong>Air Force Reserve Squadron</strong> and part of the<strong> 349th Air Mobility Wing</strong> at <strong>Travis Air Force Base</strong>, California . It operates the<strong> KC-46A Pegasus</strong> supporting the <strong>United States Air Force</strong>’s world wide aerial refueling missions. The squadron’s motto is <em><strong>“Extending Excellence”</strong></em> and is known all over the world by their call sign of<em><strong> “Orca.”</strong></em> The 70th has been providing fully qualified aircrews for worldwide missions since 1942, and is able to stand up as a fully activated squadron with less than 72 hours of notice. The squadron supports the President, Department of Defense, and Coalition Forces during wartime, contingency, cargo, humanitarian, and aerial refueling operations. Travis is located one hour north of beautiful San Francisco, and only three hours west of scenic Lake Tahoe.</span></p>
