A Welder can refer to the skilled tradesperson who fuses materials together, or the equipment used to generate the welding arc. Welders permanently join metals or thermoplastics using high heat to melt the parts together and allow them to cool into a single piece. The U.S. Navy "Seabee's" (or "CB" for Construction Battalion) have a speciality tradesman know as a "Steelworker" (SW) who is a combat-ready construction rate (rating) that is proficient in metalwork, structural steel fabrication, and welding. They construct bridges, towers, and pre-engineered buildings, while also operating rigging equipment and handling heavy steel reinforcement for concrete. The Seabees' Mottos are: "We build, We fight!" and "Can Do!"

Trans Pacific AirMail Stamp Poster Art.

This is a stunning digitally enhanced reproduction (Poster) print of a Trans Pacific "China Clipper" AirMail Stamp Poster Art. On November 22, 1935, China Clipper left Alameda, California, carrying the first-ever transpacific airmail. Its crew included famous pilot Ed Musick and navigator Fred Noonan. (Two years later, Noonan and Amelia Earhart would disappear on their infamous attempt to cross the globe.) China Clipper had planned to fly over the incomplete San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge shortly after taking off. However, the pilot realized he wouldn’t make it over the bridge and flew under instead – narrowly avoiding a crash. The plane completed its historic 8,000-mile island-hopping journey across the Pacific on November 29, delivering 58 mailbags with more than 110,000 pieces of mail.

This print is not a postage stamp for mail usage, but rather a large poster size wall art reproduction print to honor the history of aviation. Looks stunning in any home or office!

President Franklin Roosevelt, a stamp enthusiast, was presented with some possible designs for the new stamp, but sketched his own idea instead.
This is a stunning digitally enhanced reproduction (Poster) print of AirMail New York Stamp Poster Art. Government operated airmail lines were well established by 1925. But to many, it seemed advantageous to let private enterprise take over. In an effort to promote civil aviation, an Act of Congress set the rate of airmail matter on a contract basis. The subject of this 1947 design, the Statue of Liberty and the City of New York, was selected because New York was a major port of entry from many countries.
