MacDill AFB KMCF Airfield Map

MacDill Air Force Base (IATA: MCF, ICAO: KMCF, FAA LID: MCF) is an active United States Air Force base located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) south-southwest of downtown Tampa, Florida.

MacDill Air Force Base, located in south Tampa, was constructed as MacDill Field, a U.S. Army Air Corps, later U.S. Army Air Forces, installation just prior to World War II. With the establishment of the U.S. Air Force as an independent service in 1947, it became MacDill Air Force Base. During the 1950s and 1960s, it was a Strategic Air Command (SAC) base for B-47 and later B-52 bombers. In the early 1960s, it transitioned to a Tactical Air Command (TACC) installation briefly operating the F-84 Thunderstreak jet fighter before transitioning to the F-4 Phantom II. During the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s, it operated F-4 Phantom II fighters, followed by F-16 Fighting Falcons in the mid and late 1980s and early 1990s.

Kelly Field KSKF Airfield Map canvas art

Kelly Field is a Joint-Use facility located in San Antonio, Texas. In 2001, pursuant to BRAC action, the former Kelly AFB runway and land west of the runway became "Kelly Field" and control of this reduced size installation was transferred to the adjacent Lackland Air Force Base, part of Joint Base San Antonio.

Kelly Field, known as the cradle of the Air Service, traces its beginnings to 1916, when Major Benjamin Foulois selected the site near San Antonio, Texas for a new aviation field. In June 1917, it became Camp Kelly, then Kelly Field, in honor of George E. M. Kelly, who crashed while attempting to land an aircraft at nearby Fort Sam Houston on May 1, 1911. Kelly Field is one of the oldest facilities in the Air Force inventory, as one of the initial World War I Army Air Service installations. The first aircraft landed at the field on April 5, 1917, a day before the United States entered WWI. It served as a school for pilots, supply officers, engineers and mechanics, and as an aviation general supply depot. Through the years it has played a vital role in sustaining American military airpower through its logistics and management missions. Thousands of men and women have served at Kelly in the defense of the nation and helped reshape the global map of aviation throughout the world.

Jet Black "Super Wide" P-40 Warhawk Canvas Wrap with Floating Black Gallery Frame.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. The P-40 design was a modification of the previous Curtiss P-36 Hawk which reduced development time and enabled a rapid entry into production and operational service. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in frontline service until the end of the war. It was the third most-produced American fighter of World War II, after the P-51 and P-47; by November 1944, when production of the P-40 ceased, 13,738 had been built, all at Curtiss-Wright Corporation's main production facilities at Buffalo, New York.
