					<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>RCAF 10 FTTS CF-18 Hornet poster art.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>10 Field Technical Training Squadron (10 FTTS)</strong> was formed at <strong>4 Wing Cold Lake</strong> (<strong>Alberta, Canada</strong>) in 1961 to conduct technical training on the CF-104 Starfighter aircraft. Since that time, <strong>10 FTTS</strong> has also provided training on the CF-5 Freedom Fighter, the CT-33 Silver Star, and starting in 1982, the <strong>CF-18 Hornet</strong>. It now also includes a Detachment located at <strong>3 Wing, Bagotville (Quebec)</strong>.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Their Mission: <strong>10 FTTS</strong> will support <strong>CF-18</strong> fighter aircraft operations by training highly effective technicians ready to meet any maintenance challenge in the fields of aircraft structure, avionics, air weapons and aviation systems, doing so in both official languages. <strong>10 FTTS</strong> is represented by an <strong>Owl</strong> and their motto is <em><strong>‘’Habilis Facere’’</strong></em> (<strong>To make procificient</strong>).</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>4 Wing Cold Lake</strong> is the busiest fighter base in <strong>Canada</strong>. It provides general purpose, multi-role, combat capable forces in support of domestic and international roles of <strong>Canada's Air Force</strong>. Home of fighter pilot training for the Canadian Forces, 4 Wing attracts Top Gun crews from all over the world to our annual air combat exercise, Maple Flag.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Search and rescue</strong> at <strong>435 Squadron</strong> is a 24 hour-a-day, seven day-a-week responsibility. During working hours on weekdays, the search and rescue standby aircraft and crew are ready to respond within 30 minutes of being notified. At all other times, the response time is extended to two hours. <strong>435 Transport and Rescue (T&#38;S) Squadron</strong> at <strong>17 Wing Winnipeg</strong> provides primary search and rescue response for the <strong>Trenton Search and Rescue Region</strong>, the largest in <strong>Canada</strong>, which extends from <strong>Quebec City</strong> to the <strong>British Columbia/Alberta border</strong>, and from the <strong>Canada/United States border</strong> to the <strong>North Pole</strong>. The <strong>435 Transport and Rescue Squadron </strong>is nicknamed <em><b>"Chinthe Squadron" </b></em>(Chinthe: lion-like creature)<em><b> </b></em>and is equipped with eight <strong>CC-130H Hercules</strong> aircraft. <p><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Canadian Forces Base Winnipeg</b> is a <strong>Royal Canadian Air Force base</strong> located within the City of <strong>Winnipeg, Manitoba</strong>.</span></p>

Based in <strong>Yellowknife, Northwest Territories</strong> it provides utility airlift in support of 1 Canadian Air Division and Joint Task Force North. <strong>440 Squadron</strong> employs the <strong>CC-138 Twin Otter</strong>. A Short Takeoff and Landing aircraft with Austere and Ski capabilities operating in the far reaches of the <strong>Arctic.</strong> The official mascot of the squadron is the <em><strong>"Vampire Bat"</strong></em> because of its history as an all-weather fighter squadron in the 1950s.</span> <span style="color: #000000;"><strong><span id="CC-138">CC-138</span></strong> Twin-engined STOL utility transport, search and rescue aircraft for the Canadian Forces. Based on the Series 300 (DHC-6) aircraft.</span> <span style="color: #000000;"><b>Yellowknife</b> is the capital city and largest community of the <strong>Northwest Territories (NT or NWT), Canada.</strong> It is located on the northern shore of Great Slave Lake, approximately 400 km (250 mi) south of the <strong>Arctic Circle</strong>, on the west side of Yellowknife Bay near the outlet of the Yellowknife River. Yellowknife and its surrounding water bodies were named after a local Dene tribe once known as the 'Copper Indians' or 'Yellowknife Indians'. (Yellowknives Dene - First Nation)</span></p>
