It operates the <strong>C-17A Globemaster III</strong> providing global airlift, combat, and humanitarian support for federal and state authorities. Charlotte is nicknamed the “Queen City” and is the largest city in North Carolina. In 2017, the 145th Airlift Wing began converting from the C-130H Hercules to the C-17A Globemaster III, with the conversion to be completed sometime is 2020.</span></p>

The 5th OG is comprised of the 23rd Bomb Squadron, 69th Bomb Squadron and the 5th Operations Support Squadron. The 5th Operations Group's history dates back more than eight decades to the infancy of military aviation. <p><span style="color: #000000;">The <strong>26th Cyberspace Operations Group</strong> provides cyberspace security and defense (CS&#38;D) across the Air Force enterprise.  In other words, they are the “White Hats” that defend the good guys in “Blue” cyberspace. <p><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Fort Campbell</b>, located in <strong>Kentucky</strong>, is home to the 101st Airborne Division and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. <b>Campbell Army Airfield</b> is a military airport at <strong>Fort Campbell</strong>. Previously <b>Campbell Air Force Base</b>, a U.S. Air Force installation from 1947 to 1959,<sup id="cite_ref-2" class="reference"></sup> this <strong>U.S. Army airfield</strong> has two asphalt paved runways. The airfield currently houses UH-60, CH-47, AH-64, and OH-58 helicopters of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade and MH-60, MH-47, and MH-6 helicopters of the 160th SOAR. It is also home to elements of the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade. Before 2004, all the 101st Airborne Division's Chinooks were in 7th Battalion and the 101st Aviation Regiment.</span></p>
