Wingman Watches poster art.

In terms of the namesake of their company, "Wingman" came from a couple different areas. First, and most obvious, is that we are military pilots, and the concept of a Wingman is inherent in our blood. In flying, the Wingman is there to provide mutual support. They are a force multiplier (sometimes), and someone you need to be able to count on to watch your six. If all goes well, they are the silent professional on your wing, doing their job without fault. In a sense, this concept extends to your watch as well. It is there to support you, and it needs to be something you can always count on. It is the silent partner on your wrist, always doing its job.

P-51 Mustang poster art.

The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang was an American long-range, single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during World War II, the Korean War and other conflicts. The Mustang was conceived, designed and built by North American Aviation in response to a specification issued directly to NAA by the British Purchasing Commission. During World War II, Mustang pilots claimed 4,950 enemy aircraft shot down. In the aftermath of World War II, the USAAF consolidated much of its wartime combat force and selected the P-51 as a "standard" piston-engined fighter, while other types, such as the P-38 and P-47, were withdrawn or given substantially reduced roles.

This vintage art deco style military aviation travel poster "Fighter pilot for America" is dedicated to all past, present and future American fighter pilots!

A fighter pilot is a military aviator trained to engage in air-to-air, and often air-to-ground, combat while at the controls of a fighter aircraft. Fighter pilots undergo specialized training in aerial warfare and dogfighting (close range aerial combat). A fighter pilot with at least five air-to-air kills becomes known as an "ace".
