The 10th Missile Squadron (10 MS) is one of three operational missile squadrons in the 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom AFB. It is one of 9 total ICBM squadrons, responsible for 50 nuclear missile sites and 5 launch control centers each. The 10th is the oldest Minuteman III squadron, having been on continuous strategic alert since Oct 1962. This was in the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, so the squadron was called America’s “Ace in the Hole”. This led to our nickname today, “First Aces”.

Malmstrom AFB is one of three US Air Force Bases that maintains and operates the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile, also Malmstrom is part of the Space Command. The mission of the 341st Missile Wing is to defend America with combat-ready Airmen and nuclear forces. Malmstrom AFB was named in honor of World War II POW Colonel Einar Axel Malmstrom.

The 891st Missile Security Forces Squadron (891 MSFS) is one of three tactical squadrons in the 91st Security Forces Group, 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. They provide nuclear security to over 150 Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles spanning over 8.5K square miles in subzero temperatures. They are the newest squadron in the Air Force established February 26, 2018. They are the Shadow Warriors, their mascot is the Berserker, and are the “Home of the Hell Yeah!!!”.

The 341st Security Forces Squadron provides law enforcement services to the main base complex, ensuring Team Malmstrom remains a safe and law-abiding community for a base population of more than 10,000. They provide gate security, base mobile patrols, security for Protection Level 1 resources in the Weapons Storage Area, and military working dog teams providing explosive and narcotic detection. They provide information, personnel, and industrial security administration.  They operate the pass and registration office, visitors center and run Montana’s first enhanced 911 center, which streamlines community 911 needs. They also operate a confinement facility supporting four Air Force bases.
