The Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC) is a unit of the Air National Guard, stationed at Tucson Air National Guard Base, Arizona. It is a tenant unit hosted by the 162d Fighter Wing, Arizona Air National Guard. The ANG AFRC Test Center is the premier operational test and evaluation organization for the Air Reserve Component (ARC). AATC tests projects, as directed by higher headquarters, to test and rapidly field commercial and government off-the-shelf solutions to modernize Air Guard and Reserve combat platforms to improve lethality, sustainability and viability for current and future contingencies.

The 187th Airlift Squadron (187 AS) is a unit of the Wyoming Air National Guard 153d Airlift Wing. located at Wyoming Air National Guard Base, Wyoming. The 187th is equipped with the C-130 Hercules. Wyoming Air National Guard Base mission includes global air transportation of equipment and supplies during times of war and for peace-time training exercises. The mission of the USAF Weapons School is to teach graduate-level instructor courses, which provide the world's most advanced training in weapons and tactics employment to officers of the combat air forces. The Weapons School is headquartered at Nellis AFB NV with squadrons also at Dyess AFB TX, Barksdale AFB LA, Hurlburt Field FL, Holloman AFB NM, and Whiteman AFB MO. The 14th WPS currently instructs AC-130s, MC-130s and U-28s, and in the near future will instruct CV-22s. All of these assets directly support special operations ground forces. 

The Weapons School accomplishes its mission by providing graduate-level instructor academic and flying courses to USAF Combat Air Forces. The School conducts extensive technical off-station training and liaison with CAF units. The School publishes the quarterly USAF Weapons Review with worldwide readership. All positions are selectively manned.
