					<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Seymour Johnson AFB - F-15E 336th FS poster art.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The <strong>336th "Rocketeers"</strong> fly the McDonnell-Douglas (now Boeing) F-15E Strike Eagle. It was the first operational F-15E squadron in the Air Force. Its aircraft are identified by the "SJ" tail code and yellow fin flash. Currently the squadron provides worldwide deployable aircraft and personnel capable of executing combat missions in support of worldwide Aerospace Expeditionary Force deployments to combat areas as part of the Global War on Terrorism. To date, the 336th have destroyed 459 enemy aircraft including the 4th Fighter Wing's <strong>sole MiG kill in Vietnam</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">The <b>Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low</b> series is a long-range combat search and rescue (CSAR) helicopter for the United States Air Force. The series was upgraded from the HH-53B/C, variants of the Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion. The <b>HH-53 '<em>Super Jolly Green Giant</em>'</b> was initially developed to replace the HH-3 'Jolly Green Giant'. The helicopters later transitioned to Special Operations missions. The U.S. Air Force's MH-53J/M fleet was retired in September 2008 and was replaced by theCV-22B Osprey.</span></p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;"><b>AC-130 </b>over <strong>Baghdad, Iraq</strong>. The <b>Lockheed AC-130</b> <strong>gunship</strong> is a heavily armed ground-attack aircraft variant of the C-130 Hercules transport plane. The basic airframe is manufactured by Lockheed, while Boeing is responsible for the conversion into a gunship and for aircraft support.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The gunship's sole user is the United States Air Force, which uses <b>AC-130H Spectre</b>, <b>AC-130U Spooky</b>, <b>AC-130J Ghostrider</b>, and <b>AC-130W Stinger II</b> variants for close air support, air interdiction and force protection. Close air support roles include supporting ground troops, escorting convoys, and flying urban operations. Air interdiction missions are conducted against planned targets and targets of opportunity. Force protection missions include defending air bases and other facilities.</span></p>

It was developed by Fairchild-Republic for the <strong>United States Air Force</strong>. It is commonly referred to by the nicknames <strong><em>"Warthog"</em> </strong>or <em>"<strong>Hog". </strong></em>Although the A-10's official name comes from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, a World War II fighter-bomber effective at attacking ground targets. <sup id="cite_ref-4" class="reference"></sup>The A-10 was designed for close air support (CAS) of friendly ground troops, attacking armored vehicles and tanks, and providing quick-action support against enemy ground forces.
