C-130 Over Peterson AFB, Colorado canvas art.

Peterson AFB in Colorado was developed as a World War II air support base for Camp Carson. The facility conducted Army Air Forces training and supported Cold War air defense centers at the nearby Ent Air Force Base. The base was the location of the Air Force Space Command headquarters from 1987 to December 20th, 2019 and has had NORAD/NORTHCOM command center operations since the 2006 Cheyenne Mountain Realignment placed the nearby Cheyenne Mountain Complex centers on standby. With the creation of the U.S Space Force, Peterson AFB and other Air Force installations that do primarily space work, are planned to be renamed to Space Force bases; effectively becoming Peterson Space Force Base.

The C-130 Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft designed and built originally by Lockheed, now Lockheed Martin. Capable of using unprepared runways for takeoffs and landings, the C-130 was originally designed as a troop, medical evacuation, and cargo transport aircraft. The versatile airframe has found uses in a variety of other roles, including as a gunship (AC-130), for airborne assault, search and rescue, scientific research support, weather reconnaissance, aerial refueling, maritime patrol, and aerial firefighting. It is now the main tactical airlifter for many military forces worldwide. Over 40 models and variants of the Hercules serve with more than 60 nations.

"Kandahar Airfield BACN engineers" canvas art.

Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) Engineers: Since February of 2010, these dedicated engineers have deployed around the world to maintain & operate this airborne communications relay & gateway system. Based out of San Diego California, BACN engineers are comprised of many disciplines from networking to operations to logistics.

BACN is amazing. Could more be even said? The Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) is a United States Air Force (USAF) airborne communications relay and gateway system hosted on a variety of aircraft designated as the EQ-4B (Global Hawk variant) and E-11A (Global Express modification). BACN enables real-time information flow across the battlespace between similar and dissimilar tactical data link and voice systems through relay, bridging, and data translation in Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) situations. By acting as a translation proxy between dissimilar communications systems, it allows interoperability without modification to the individual platforms' systems.

Because of its flexible deployment options and ability to operate at high altitudes, BACN can enable air and surface forces to overcome communications difficulties caused by complex mountainous terrain and range while performing as a key node for tactical networks. BACN provides decision-makers at all operational echelons with critical information and increases situational awareness by correlating tactical and operational air and ground pictures. For example, an Army unit on the ground currently sees a different picture than an aircrew, but with BACN, both can see the same picture.

On 22 February 2010, the Air Force and Northrop Grumman BACN Team received the 2010 Network Centric Warfare Award from the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement. The 430th Expeditionary Electronic Combat Squadron is an active United States Air Force unit. It is assigned to the 451st Expeditionary Operations Group and stationed at Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan.

Kandahar Airfield also known as Kandahar International Airport is located 10 miles (16 kilometers) south-east of Kandahar City in Afghanistan. It serves as the nation's second main international airport and as one of the largest military bases, capable of housing up to 250 aircraft of all type.

Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 3 (VMAQ-3) “Moondogs“ is one of three Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare squadrons in the U.S. Marine Corps. They operate the EA-6B Prowler out of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC. The Marine maintainers repair and maintain the airframe, engines, electronics, communication and navigation systems, and weapons systems. Their countless hours of effort and sacrifice are vital to the squadron being able to perform its mission and ultimately to the EA-6B providing support to the men and women in harms way around the world. VMAQ-3 is the premier Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron and the "Moondog Maintenance team" is what keeps the aircraft flying.

Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point or MCAS Cherry Point is a United States Marine Corps airfield located in Havelock, North Carolina. It was built in 1941 (commissioned in 1942) and is currently home to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.

The Northrop Grumman (formerly Grumman) EA-6B Prowler is a twin-engine, four-seat, mid-wing electronic warfare aircraft derived from the A-6 Intruder airframe. The EA-6A was the initial electronic warfareversion of the A-6 used by the United States Marine Corps in the 1960s. Development on the more advanced EA-6B began in 1966.

The 94th Intelligence Squadron is part of the 70th ISR Wing at Fort Meade, MD. Throughout its distinguished history, the 94th has conducted ISR and Force Protection by operating a variety of Surveillance platforms around the globe. The Squadron traces its lineage back to a Photographic Unit during WWII; even before the birth of the Air Force. Today the unit continues its ISR legacy still closely connected to Vietnam era Direction Finding operations from which the Squadron proudly draws its mission Heritage. As one of the most decorated units in Air Combat Command, the "Cougars" of the 94th can truly operate "Any Signal, Any Time, Anywhere!"
