Strike Fighter Squadron 25 (VFA-25) is an aviation unit of the U.S. Navy based at Naval Air Station Lemoore, California. The squadron flies the F/A-18E Super Hornet and is currently assigned to Carrier Air Wing Seven. Two US Navy squadrons have held the designation VA-25. The first VA-25 would eventually become VA-65, the second VA-25 has a direct lineage to the current VFA-25 Nicknamed:“Fist of the Fleet”! The Fist of the Fleet was originally commissioned as Torpedo Squadron 17 (VT-17) on 1 January 1943 at NAS Norfolk flying the Grumman TBF Avenger. Over the course of the squadron’s history the Fisties would fly the TBF Avenger,SB2 Helldiver, A-1Skyraider, A-7 Corsair II, F/A-18 Hornet and the F/A-18E Super Hornet.

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 also known as the Green Knight, is the world’s only forward deployed 5th Generation fighter squadron equipped with the F-35B Lightning II. Prior the F-35, the squadron flew the F/A-18D Hornet (Depicted). The squadron is part of Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and stationed at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. The squadron conducts operations around the Pacific including as part of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit .

The United States Cavalry, was the designation of the mounted force of the United States Army by an act of Congress on 3 August 1861. This act converted the U.S. Army's two regiments of dragoons, one regiment of mounted riflemen, and two regiments of cavalry into one branch of service. Air Cavalry is a US Army term that refers to helicopter equipped units that perform reconnaissance, security, and economy of force missions. The Vietnam War saw the introduction of helicopters and operations as a helicopter-borne force with the designation of Air Cavalry, while mechanized cavalry received the designation of Armored Cavalry. Today, cavalry designations and traditions continue with regiments of both armor and aviation units that perform the cavalry mission. The 1st Cavalry Division is the only active division in the United States Army with a cavalry designation. The division maintains a detachment of horse-mounted cavalry for ceremonial purposes

Strike Fighter Squadron 32 (VFA-32) "Swordsmen" are part of CVW-3 at NAS Oceana, VA. It operates the F/A-18F Super Hornet. The squadron’s members are known as “Gypsies”. The squadron’s call to arms is “Ready 32” with a response of “Gypsy Roll!”

Located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is a United States Naval Master Jet Base. It is also known as Apollo Soucek Field, named after Lieutenant (later Admiral) Apollo Soucek, a Test Pilot who set the global altitude record in 1930 by flying a Curtiss "Hawk" biplane to an altitude of 43,166 feet. NAS Oceana is the only Master Jet Base on the East Coast. Home to seventeen strike fighter squadrons of F/A-18 Hornets and F/A-18 Super Hornets, the base is the sole East Coast Master Jet Base and home to all the east coast strike-fighter (VFA) units (excluding VFA-86 and Marine Corps VMFA squadrons). Training is conducted by VFA-106 Gladiators in their F/A-18A-D Hornets and F/A-18E/F Super Hornets.
