MacDill Air Force Base (IATA: MCF, ICAO: KMCF, FAA LID: MCF) is an active United States Air Force base located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) south-southwest of downtown Tampa, Florida. 

MacDill Air Force Base, located in south Tampa, was constructed as MacDill Field, a U.S. Army Air Corps, later U.S. Army Air Forces, installation just prior to World War II. With the establishment of the U.S. Air Force as an independent service in 1947, it became MacDill Air Force Base. During the 1950s and 1960s, it was a Strategic Air Command (SAC) base for B-47 and later B-52 bombers. In the early 1960s, it transitioned to a Tactical Air Command (TACC) installation briefly operating the F-84 Thunderstreak jet fighter before transitioning to the F-4 Phantom II. During the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s, it operated F-4 Phantom II fighters, followed by F-16 Fighting Falcons in the mid and late 1980s and early 1990s.

Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton was activated on 25 Sept 1942. It supports 8 rotary wing and tiltrotor squadrons from MAG-39 and MAG-46 Det A, comprised of over 180 aircraft. The airfield is also known as Munn Field in honor of Lieutenant General John C. "Toby" Munn, the first Marine Aviator to serve as the Commanding General of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Camp Pendleton is the major West Coast base of the United States Marine Corps and is one of the largest Marine Corps bases in the US.

Nellis Air Force Base is a United States Air Force installation in southern Nevada with military schools and more squadrons than any other USAF base. Nellis hosts air combat exercises such as Exercise Red Flag and close air support exercises such as Green Flag-West flown in "Military Operations Area (MOA) airspace", associated with the nearby Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). Fairchild Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base, located approximately twelve miles southwest of Spokane, Washington. 

Fairchild AFB was established in 1942 as the Spokane Army Air Depot and is named in honor of General Muir S. Fairchild (1894–1950); a World War I aviator, he was the Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force at the time of his death. Fairchild is home to a wide variety of units and missions. Most prominent is its air refueling mission, with two wings, one active, the 92d Air Refueling Wing, and one national guard, the 141st Air Refueling Wing, both flying the KC-135 Stratotanker. The 92nd Air Refueling Wing comprises the 92d Operations Group which provides air mobility for America through air refueling, airlift, and operational support, the 92d Maintenance Group which provides maintenance support to world-class aircraft and equipment, the 92d Mission Support Group which provides the foundation for support and morale of Fairchild and the 92d Medical Group. Other units here include the Air Force Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape school, medical detachments, a weapons squadron and the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency.

A joint civil-military airport, Charleston Air Force Base today shares its runways with Charleston International Airport for commercial airline aircraft operations on the south side of the airfield and general aviation aircraft operations on the east side. The 437th Airlift Wing (437 AW) of the Air Mobility Command (AMC) and the 315th Airlift Wing (315 AW) of the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) operate the C-17A Globemaster III from the base. Incirlik Air Base is a Turkish air base located in the İncirlik quarter of the city of Adana, Turkey. The United States Air Force and the Turkish Air Force are the primary users of the air base, although it is at times also used by the Royal Air Force and the Royal Saudi Air Force. Also, the base is the home of the 74th Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment (PatriotUnit) of the Spanish Army. Incirlik Air Base has a U.S. Air Force complement of about five thousand airmen, with several hundred airmen from the Royal Air Force and Turkish Air Force also present, as of late 2002. Wright-Patterson AFB is "one of the largest, most diverse, and organizationally complex bases in the Air Force"  with a long history of flight tests spanning from the Wright Brothers into the Space Age. It is the headquarters of the Air Force Materiel Command, one of the major commands of the Air Force. Over 150,000 passengers and 264,000 tons of mail and cargo depart annually on Air Mobility Command (AMC) aircraft and other AMC-chartered flights from the airfield's AMC Terminal.
