					<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Lewis Burwell</b> “<b>Chesty</b>” <b>Puller,</b> a United States Marine Corps lieutenant general who, early in his military career, fought guerrillas in Haiti and Nicaragua. He later went on to serve with distinction in <strong>World War II</strong> and the <strong>Korean War</strong>. Puller is the <strong>most decorated Marine in American history</strong>. He is one of two U.S. servicemen awarded <strong>five Navy Crosses</strong> and <strong>one Army Distinguished Service Cross</strong>. Puller’s five Crosses are next in number to the eight times Eddie Rickenbacker received the nation’s second-highest military award for valor. <sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"></sup>In 1955 (after 37 years of service), Puller retired from the Marine Corps, but his legend continues on in the Marine Corps. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Squadron Posters</strong> <em><strong>“Yoked Series”</strong></em> honors those who demonstrate <em><strong>“Strength through Leadership”</strong></em>. The term <strong>“Yoked”</strong> referring to a strong or large trap muscle between the shoulder and neck. Word originates from the “yoke” that is placed around the neck of oxen and has now developed into a broad term for <strong>hugeness and strength</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Marine Attack Squadron 231 (VMA-231)</strong> is a <strong>United States Marine Corps</strong> fixed wing attack squadron that consists of <strong>AV-8B Harrier</strong> (V/STOL) jets. The squadron, known as the <em><strong>"Ace of Spades"</strong></em>, is based at <strong>Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina</strong> and fall under the command of Marine Aircraft Group 14 (MAG-14) and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. VMA-231 is <em><strong>the oldest squadron in the Marine Corps</strong></em> and has earned the saying <em><strong>“Since 1919”</strong></em> Cherry Point NC is 30 minutes from historic New Bern, NC and 45 minutes from the Outer banks.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><b>MCAS Cherry Point</b> is a <strong>U.S. airfield</strong> located in <strong>Havelock, North Carolina</strong>. It was built in 1941 (commissioned in 1942). MCAS Cherry Point also maintains a satellite field at MCALF Bogue, in Bogue, North Carolina, as well as an outlying airfield at Outlying Field (MCOLF) Atlantic in Atlantic, NC. Several former outlying landing fields have been converted to regional airports, such as MCOF Greenville, MCAA Kinston, and MCOF New Bern.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) <b>AV-8B Harrier II</b> is a single-engine ground-attack aircraft that constitutes the second generation of the <strong>Harrier Jump Jet</strong> family. </span></p>
