<p><span style="color: #000000;">The <strong>429 Transport Squadron (429 (T) Sqn)</strong> is part of the <strong>Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF)</strong> <strong>8 Wing</strong> located at <strong>Canadian Forces Base Trenton (CFB Trenton)</strong>, Ontario Canada. It operates the <strong>C-17</strong> <strong>Globmaster III</strong> in support of global reach mission world wide. CFB Trenton is located on the Bay of Quinte, two hours east of Toronto, which is connected to Lake Ontario, and is a world renowned fishing (especially Walleye fishing) and sailing location. 429 is the only <strong>CC-177</strong> squadron in the RCAF; their Mascot is the <em><strong>"Bison"</strong></em>; and their Motto is: <em><strong>"FORTUNAE NIHIL"</strong></em> translating to <em><strong>“Nothing to Chance”!</strong></em></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><b>429 Transport Squadron</b> <strong>(429 TS) </strong>of the <strong>Royal Canadian Air Force</strong> <strong>(RCAF)</strong> is one of four squadrons attached to <b>Canadian Forces Base Trenton</b> (<strong>CFB Trenton)</strong> in <strong>Trenton, Ontario</strong>. The squadron was originally formed as a bomber squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force attached to RAF Bomber Command during the Second World War.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>8 Wing Trenton</strong> has been home base to <strong>429 Transport Squadron (TS)</strong> since 1990 and has performed a wide range of air transport roles on behalf of <strong>Canada</strong> – everything from delivering humanitarian aid to disaster zones around the world to ferrying supplies to Canadian troops in Afghanistan. <strong>429 TS</strong> has flown a variety of aircraft throughout its history, although the massive <strong>CC-177 Globemaster III</strong> is the only airframe the squadron flies today.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The <strong>RCAF</strong> began using the giant airlifter within days of receiving the first Globemaster in the summer of 2007 and crews have been busy ever since delivering on their mission – to develop and maintain a globally responsive capability that enables the <strong>Canadian Forces</strong> to reliably impact all theaters of operations with relevance and unlimited reach.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><b>Canadian Forces Base Trenton</b> (<b>CFB Trenton</b>) is a <strong>Canadian Forces</strong> <strong>Base</strong> located within the city of <strong>Quinte West, Ontario</strong>. It is operated as an <strong>Air Force Base</strong> by the <strong>Royal Canadian Air Force </strong>and is the hub for air transport operations in Canada and abroad. Its primary RCAF lodger unit is 8 Wing, commonly referred to as 8 Wing Trenton.</span></p>

The <strong>C-17</strong> commonly performs strategic airlift missions, transporting troops and cargo throughout the world; additional roles include tactical airlift, medical evacuation and airdrop duties.</span></p>
