Ohio ANG 164th Airlift Squadron

The 164th Airlift Squadron (164 AS) is a unit of the Ohio Air National Guard’s 179th Airlift Wing located at Mansfield Lahm Air National Guard Base (Mansfield Lahm Airport). It operates the C-130H Hercules supporting the State of Ohio and the United States Air Force tactical airlift mission world wide. The squadrons heritage dates back to its origination in 1948 as the 164th Fighter Squadron flying the F-51D Mustang. In 2010 the 164th became the first operational C-27J Spartan Wing tn the United States Air Force. The 164th is centrally located just over an hour north of Columbus and South of Cleveland just a short drive from the Lake Erie Shores and Islands and famous Cedar Point Amusement Park.
