This artwork features Washington Crossing the Delaware, the iconic 1851 painting by German-American artist Emanuel Leutze. Depicting General George Washington leading Continental Army troops across the icy Delaware River on the night of December 25, 1776, the scene captures a pivotal moment in the American Revolutionary War. The dramatic composition, bold lighting, and determined expressions symbolize perseverance, leadership, and the fight for independence. Though idealized, the painting has become one of the most enduring images in American history. This piece stands as a timeless tribute to courage and the founding spirit of the United States.
