Strike Fighter Squadron 102 (VFA-102) ‘Diamondbacks’ is a United States Navy Strike Fighter squadron based at Naval Air Facility Atsugi. They fly the Boeing F/A-18F ‘Super Hornet‘. Naval Air Facility Atsugi is a naval air base located in the cities of Yamato and Ayase in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is the largest United States Navy air base in the Pacific Ocean and houses the squadrons of Carrier Air Wing 5, which deploys with the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN-73).
This art piece was created by SP Artist “Seth Jefferson” in the style of a traditional Japanese woodblock even though it is a vector rendering and was inspired by the famous ‘36 Views of Mt Fuji‘ series.
