Seabees – “Build for your Navy” Updated poster art.
This art deco style military naval travel poster “Seabees – Build for your Navy”, is an *updated modern version of the original United States Navy Seabees recruiting & enlistment poster (circa 1940-1950) created by Robert Muchley. This artwork is dedicated to all the hard working SeaBees of the United States Navy. ***The SeaBees depicted in this art are bulked up more than the original art as well as the presence of an Navy EA-6B Prowler flying overhead, a modern Hammer Drill and a Toughbook computer. A “Seabee” is a member of the United States Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (CB). The word “Seabee” comes from initials “CB”. The Seabees have a history of building bases, bulldozing and paving thousands of miles of roadway and airstrips, and accomplishing a myriad of other construction projects in a wide variety of military theaters dating back to World War II.
