B-2 Spirit – 13th Bomb Squadron, Whiteman AFB

This vintage art deco style military aviation travel poster “B-2 Spirit – 13th Bomb Squadron” is dedicated to all who serve with the 13th!

The 13th Bomb Squadron is one of the oldest units in the United States Air Force, first organized as the 13th Aero Squadron on June 14th 1917. The squadron deployed to France in 1918 during World War I and fought on the Western Front as a pursuit squadron. They soon came to be known as the “Devil’s Own Grim Reapers”, flying the French SPAD XIII.  (Video: B-2 -Rose Bowl fly over)
   The 13th Bomb Squadron is assigned to the 509th Operations Group, Global Strike Command stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base Missouri. The squadron is currently equipped with the extremely advanced B-2 ‘Spirit‘ Stealth Bomber.
