44th Reconnaissance Squadron 100th Anniversary Art

44th Reconnaissance Squadron 100th Anniversary Art.

The 44th Reconnaissance Squadron’s (44th RS) mission is to graduate low-observable Remotely Piloted Aircraft experts and field advanced RPA concepts necessary for next-generation employment. It operates the RQ-170 at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada. This poster artwork commemorates the 100 year anniversary of the founding of the 44th RS (44th Aero Squadron) in June 1917, just after the United States’ entry into World War I. The Squadron’s nickname is the “Magnums”.

Creech Air Force Base is a United States Air Force command and control facility in Clark County, Nevada used to engage in daily Overseas Contingency Operations of remotely piloted aircraft systems which fly missions across the globe. In addition to an airport, the military installation has the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Battlelab, associated aerial warfare ground equipment, and unmanned aerial vehicles of the type used in Afghanistan and Iraq.
